Lamar Odom finally speaks on divorce rumors

In his first interview since being released from the hospital after collapsing in a Las Vegas hotel, Lamar Odom opened up about the status of his relationship with Khloe Kardashian. He told ET;

"Khloe and I did talk, you know, everything is (up for) discussion .We talk about anything. We’ve been through a lot. It won’t ever stop. It gets tough, especially if so much gets speculated. Only a few people know the truth, and I just keep that close to my heart.”

I share your pains- Buhari assures parents of Chibok girls

President Buhari has assured parents and relations of the kidnapped Chibok girls that he frequently reflects on the ordeal of the captives in the hands of Boko Haram terrorists and shares the pain of their continued absence from home. Buhari said this in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba. Part of the statement reads;

"On the second anniversary of the kidnap of the girls which is today, President Buhari affirms that, as a parent and leader of the country, he understands the torment, frustration and anxiety of the parents and will not spare any effort to ensure the safe return of the girls. The President continues to believe that with the total commitment of the Federal Government, Nigerian Armed Forces and security agencies, and the support of the international community, the girls will be eventually rescued. President Buhari notes that thousands of persons, mostly women and children, who were kidnapped by Boko Haram, have already been rescued and reunited with their families. He shares the hope of the parents that the Chibok girls will ultimately be rescued and reunited with their families as well. The President assures the parents that the Federal Government and security agencies will continue to explore all possible options for the safe return of the girls. President Buhari urges the parents to continue to exercise patience and understanding as the government works diligently to ensure that the girls return home unharmed. The President thanks all Nigerians, religious and civil organizations, and the international community for their continued sympathy, support and prayers for the return of the Chibok girls."

"I would like to take a minute to step away from my work to say a prayer for some people. Before I say this prayer, I would love to say a big thank you to everyone that has been supporting my works so far. I am humbled by your love and kind words. I have always been praying for you and I won’t stop now.

Today, I am saying a fresh prayer to all the people who have so much hurt and pain in their hearts that the only things they can express and give out are pain, hatred, wickedness and negativity. The Bible says “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh”. Those words are as real today as they were when they were written thousands of years ago. It is my prayer that those whose hearts are filled with so much pain will find comfort in God’s love, grace and mercy. I pray that God will cover you with His warmth and wash you clean with the blood that Jesus shed on calvary. However, those who are not willing to be delivered and saved can NEVER be saved. I guess some people, though fully aware of the hurt and pain they feel inside, are not willing to let go of the evil that lives inside of them because they get a certain kind of ‘high’ when they have the opportunity the pour out their misguided hatred and anger towards other people that are ‘seemingly’ down. May God show you His Grace and somehow, cause you to encounter Him in a different way.

Why this prayer today? With a huge smile on my face I state boldly; I am NOT A CELEBRITY. I am just a simple guy who who has been blessed to make films and I am a product of God’s grace. I am just the simple Delta Pikin who God has blessed with a million ideas and the ability to bring these ideas into reality. I see my self as a worker in the entertainment business, the same way people are workers in banks, telecommunication, law, medicine, etc. I just want to do my work and make the world a better place.

However, my life has been an open book for the world. Its a bitter sweet feeling though. I need everyone to take a chill pill about the negative comments towards my ex-wife and I with our son David. The young man just turned 8 and is doing great. He has a great relationship with his mother and we are OK. I don’t like the fact that the media and hateful people will start cooking up details constantly trying to make me look bad. I’m trying to be a great father to my son the best way possible. I really didn’t want to address this but I guess sometimes you just have to grab the bull by the horn and deal with it. I have been accused of being evasive on this matter by declining to grant interviews to the press. Call it silence, foolishness. being evasive or even maturity; but it is how I have chosen to handle this. David has continued to have a healthy relationship with his mother and it has NEVER stopped. I am not the person who posts every single detail of his family’s private life on social media but today I will share with the ‘hateful people’ and kind hearted fans alike just two of the pictures of David and his mother taken here in Atlanta a few months ago on one of her numerous visits. Do I have to post every phone conversation, picture and visit for everyone to sleep at night? LOL.

Please, let us raise our son in peace. I am praying for God to give the ‘bitter people’, ‘jobless people’ and ‘sad-u-sees’ something more meaningful to do with their time, rather than fabricate stories that are non existent for their personal, momentary and monetary satisfaction, totally oblivious of the fact that they are tarnishing the character and name that some of us have spent time to build.

I will leave you with this thought; a person who has been down and out before does not preach or scream condemnation. He/she screams mercy and grace. I have been down and I know how it feels to be there, so all I can do is pray for grace over your life. If you are down and you still don’t have a heart of mercy and grace…I leave you in God’s hands.

Oshiomhole’s aide arraigned for publishing a post on FB against the governor and unlawful possesion of arms

A Senior Special Assistant on Media to Edo state governor Adams Oshiomhole, Curtis Eghosa Ugbo, has been arraigned before an Oredo Magistrate Court for allegedly publishing an article online against Oshiomole. According to The Nation, 47 year old Curtis was also arraigned for unlawful possession of firearms.

Court papers states that Curtis's article against Oshiomole was published on April 10th and had the caption,

“What is wrong with my boss, the ground breaking of Edo State own Cement industry in partnership with a private company under Government Public Private Partnership (PPP) and stakeholders, no state House members or Speaker and National Assembly members presence notice. Is Edo State now a personal business of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole?”

Ugbo pleaded not guilty to the three count charges preferred against him.

Police Prosecutor, ASP Sylvester Omor, told the Court that Curtis unlawfully had in his possession a double barrel gun which was not duly registered and so contravened section 59 (1), 249 (d) and 430 (2) of the criminal code cap. 48, vol. II laws of the defunct Bendel state of Nigeria 1976, as now applicable in Edo.

After hearing the arguments, the Magistrates’, Mrs C.A. Nwoha, granted Curtis bail in sum of N100,000 and a surety in like sum who must be have a landed property. The case was adjourned till April 26th.

Gospel singer dies in hotel room after meeting a pastor she met on Facebook

Popular Edo female gospel singer, Mrs. Yvonne Omoarebokhae who met a pastor, Pastor Psalm Okpe of Fresh Oil Ministry on Facebook has been confirmed dead by the Police in Benin City, Edo State. Mrs Yvonne Omoarebokhae, was found dead in a hotel in Benoni, GRA in Benin after she met with the pastor.

According to her husband, Odion, his wife met Pastor Okpe on Facebook and after several months of chatting, the man of God invited his wife to perform at his programme which was to be held in Benin, Warri and Asaba. He confirmed that he knew about his wife chatting with the Pastor and the arrangements to meet at the said hotel.

He said his wife left for Warri on Thursday to perform at the program, and on Friday morning at about 10 am, she called to let him know that she would be home soon.

He said that at about 9:30p.m. on Friday, the police called him using his late wife's phone and asked him to report at Airport Road police station in Benin.
He said:

"I did not hear from her again until at about 9:30 pm, when the police used my wife’s phone to call and invited me to report at the Airport Road police station, where I waited for more than two hours at the police station until the police asked me to go home, but I insisted on knowing the whereabouts of my wife. “The DPO later told me that my wife was picked at a hotel in the GRA and rushed to the Benin Central Hospital where she was confirmed dead. “I am yet to see the corpse of my wife to know want happen and who is responsible for her death. We have a son that will be three-year old by June 25,”

The Edo State police commissioner, Chris Ezike, confirmed the death of the woman, adding that the pastor has been arrested and that the death is under investigation.
He said:

"The man is married and the woman is married. Not until a post mortem is conducted, we cannot conclude what happened. I have asked the matter to be transferred to the State CID.”

FG comes to the aid of 14 years old girl with kidney disease

Respite has come the way of a 14 year old girl identified as Faith Andrew whose treatment for a kidney disease has been stopped for a while because of the inability of her widowed mother of 6 to pay for her weekly dialysis or the N7 million kidney transplant fee.

 

Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, visited Faith at the Gwagwalada Teaching hospital yesterday April 12th and said the Federal government will henceforth take responsibility of the girl's medical bill. See tweets from the Ministers twitter handle below...

Ondo Police arrest four serial burglars, recover stolen items

The Ondo state police command have arrested and paraded four serial burglars that have terrorized the residents of the state for over a year. The state commissioner of police, Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison, who paraded the suspects before newsmen at the Command's headquarters in Akure, the state capital yesterday April 12th, gave the names of the suspected burglars as Segun Oluwasesan, Oyintola Amos, Kolawole Adebanjo and Segun Oluwasesan.

The suspects are allegedly members of a burglary syndicate that break into peoples homes in the middle of the night to steal their properties. According to the commissioner, the suspects were arrested after one of them was apprehended at Ayedun Quarters in Akure robbing a store and carting away its goods.

When he was interrogated, he confessed to being a member of a gang and led the police to his other gang members. Items recovered from the suspects include mobile phones, video players, laptops, flat screen televisions, electric power generators, compact disc player.

They will soon be charged to court.

Blac Chyna and Rob meet with Khloe Kardashian

There were rumours a few months ago that Khloe Kardashian kicked brother Rob out of her house after coming home to find him there with Blac Chyna. But according to new reports, it looks like following their engagement, Khloe is now ready to bury the hatchet with Rob.

According to Paparazzi, Blac Chyna and Rob went to Khloe's house on Monday where they stayed for two whole hours before making one of their daily trips to the bank.

Ghanaian Pastor, Dr. Kofi Danso gets Private Jet as surprise birthday gift from his church

Members of a Canada-based church, Miracle Arena For All Nations in Canada, a multi-cultural fast growing church founded in 2011, presented a private jet to their pastor and his wife, Dr. Kofi and Rev. Jo Anne Danso, as a birthday present for 'their passion and charisma towards the work of God.'

 

The church presented the private jet to Dr. Kofi Danso and his wife on his birthday in February 2016. In a Facebook post, he wrote:

"I bless and thank God for the people he has put in my life, both on ground and in the air. You guys are all awesome!"

On how he feels about owning a private jet, Prophet Danso said that it feels good and it makes his travels easy, adding that the jet makes it easier to travel back to his home church after preaching elsewhere and also helps to reach more souls with the word.

The Ghanaian pastor stressed that the private jet was not a thing of luxury but rather a necessity. He also disclosed that the private jet generates funds for the church when not in use, as it is leased out when not in use. He also advised other churches to emulate the example of blessing their pastors with private jets if they have the means.

"Every church should do this for their pastors if they can. The more we help pastors to reach one continent or the other we help fulfill the gospel", he noted.

Prophet Danso lived in Amsterdam for 9 years before he emigrated to Canada for five years. He is happily married to JoAnne Danso and has four kids, including a set of twins. He has been in ministry for 24 years and has 15 books to his credit.

MESSAGE

After king Nebuchadnezzar was deposed from his kingly throne, his glory was taken away from him and he was disgraced to the point of eating grass like oxen, he came back to his senses to realise that the Most High God is the ultimate ruler in the kingdom of men. The problem with the king was that he got carried away with his achievements, thinking that they were the bye-products of his wisdom and physical power. This is the problem with many people like him through the ages. Any achievement that will not lead us back to the original Achiever could be very deadly. Jesus Christ spoke of a rich farmer who was boasting of his achievements in agriculture, only for his life to be taken away from him that same night.

“And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”

Apostle James warned against being boastful without giving consideration to the sovereignty of God in James 4:13-15

“Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city. and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, if the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.”

It is presumptuous for someone who does not know whether he will survive the next day to commence planning a programme that will take place in six months time. It is only the Almighty God that has the power to will and to do. One can see the cause of the calamity that befell kings Pharaoh and Herod.

In the case of King Herod, he took not only the glory that belonged to God but God’s sovereignty. The consequence was fatal because he was stricken by angel of the Lord and he was eaten up by worms immediately.

“And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”

Acts 12:21-23

May the sovereignty of God be made positively manifest in our lives so that we can live in the supernatural from now on in Jesus’ name.

After several reports of her estranged husband, Lamar Odom being seen drinking heavily in a bar in L.A. Khloe may have decided to finally let him go. She took to her IG page to leave several emotional messages where she wrote: "Letting go doesn't mean that you don't care about someone anymore. We have to learn to stop taking on peoples problems as if they are our own. Loving people does not mean we have to carry their burdens and confusions on our back.

Sadly, You can only express your opinion on a situation. You can't want their life more than they do. This is in fact their life to figure out on their own and in their own time. I do believe in timing. I do believe timing is everything. You forcing your beliefs and dreams down ones throat is only going to cause resentment and possibly manifest deeper issues. Possibly to the point of no return. "People say time heals all wounds... I say time heals wounds but scars are left to remind you what you have been through and what you survived." Stop shattering your own heart by trying to make a relationship (friend, family, partner) work that clearly isn’t meant to work. We have to stop trying to repaint people's colors. We have to learn to believe the love we AREN'T given. You can't love someone into loving you. (God I wish it were that easy) You can’t force someone to be loyal, kind, understanding. You can’t force someone to be the person you need them to be. Even if it's for their own good!! Sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without. 😩😫 You have to understand... some things ARE supposed to happen in your life, but they just are NOT meant to be. Damn... It took me so many years to understand that.

Don’t lose yourself by trying to fix what’s meant to stay broken. God always has a plan even if we can't understand it (or don't want to understand it) Even in the darkest of places... Our Lord sees His vision.

We might not understand it at the moment but I promise you, your future will always bring understanding and clarity of why things didn’t work out. Don’t put your happiness on hold for someone (family, friend, partner) who isn’t holding on to you. "A Girl once told me… Be careful when trying to fix a broken person. For you may cut yourself on their shattered pieces."
