FRSC returns N.5m recovered at accident scene to owners

The sum of N514, 150:00 was recovered at an accident scene at Kwaita village, on the Abuja-Lokoja road by a rescue team of the Yangoji unit command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Saturday, December 26.

The unit commander of the FRSC, Mr. Joseph Ezeh disclosed this to a Daily Trust reporter while handing over the money to one of the survivors of the accident. Mr Ezeh said the money was recovered after two vehicles, Toyota Corolla and Nissan Sunny cars collided. The team who rushed to the scene to rescue the victims recovered the large sum. Fortunately, the victims from the two vehicles, including a reverend father came out of the accident unhurt.

"Although, the money was from the two vehicles which did not belong to one person, thank God all the victims involved escaped unhurt before they all came and resolved among themselves that the money be hand-over to one of them,"  Mr Ezeh said.

From the experience of Daniel in our Bible reading today, we understand that praying effectively makes it impossible for your blessings to pass you by. When you pray, your blessings are branded with your name, and as you continue in prayer, a heavenly courier is sent with your package. When you pray some more, the courier will deliver the package to you. Do you know that there are blessings which were released from Heaven but which never got to their owners? One likely way of losing your blessing is to stop praying about them. if you stop, by the time they are being sent, they could get missing in transit. So many blessings have been lost due to a lack of follow-up prayers.

Let us look at Daniel’s experience. He had a burden to unravel a particular mystery; so he set out to fast and seek God’s 

 face on the matter. A day passed, a week passed, and another week passed, but he kept on praying. It was after three weeks that the answer came. The angel who brought the answer told him that from the day the request was made, it was heard and an answer was sent, but certain forces of darkness delayed him until Angel Michael came to assist him. This tells us that the battles in heavenly places are real. No wonder Ephesians 6:12 says:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

These forces exist and they are out to delay or deny you your blessings. If you lost faith and stop praying, the enemy might divert them.

It is one thing to pray and have the answer released, but it is another thing to receive the answer. Today, it is possible to send something by post and track its movement from country to country up to its destination through the internet. Prayer is the spiritual tracking device you need to track your blessing from Heaven until it arrives in your hands. Once you start praying on a particular issue, don’t stop. Keep on praying until the answer gets to you. In addition, it is necessary to specifically pray against every spiritual agent of hindrance. Paralyze every diversionary agent of darkness. Pray against blessing thieves and hijackers, and envelope your blessings in the Blood of Jesus.

Prayer is like a hook with rope tied; with it you can catch your blessing, and pull it until it gets to you.

Who else is walking into 2016 single?

Since the year 2016 is fast approaching and 2015 is coming to an end, I guess you can almost conclude that you are going to be single as f*** for the rest of this year, lol. Don't mind me, your Mr. Right and Miss. Awesome might just be around the corner somewhere close. Don't give up yet. And if it doesn't happen this year, 2016 is a year filled with a world of promises and opportunities so give it a little more time. Don't rush that your bestie into asking you out or accepting your proposal just yet. The best things take time. Perhaps you also need to change some things you are doing wrong, or your approach. For example, maybe you don't go out at all, or you have no social life... Yeah, you are destined to meet Mr. /Miss Right but they don't always come up to your door and knock then introduce themselves as "Mr/Miss Right". You should endeavour to go out more, not necessarily to clubs or bar as some of you have said you wouldn't want to settle with someone you met in a controversial place. You can goto cinemas, even shopping mall sef, musical concerts , even random places like the market, or when your car breaks down on the highway, or she helped you pick out something in the lingerie section for your mum, I'm serious o. Just confirm it's his mum he is buying it for ooo.. lol, what I'm saying is you can meet the right one for you in some weird, hopeless places like Rihanna sang.
And maybe you have too much pride and shun almost every good guy/girl that comes your way, is itclaiming you are waiting for rich, tall, dark and handsome or for guy, maybe it's light skinned, average height, well rounded boobs and ass with that perfectly flat tummy, in short figure 8. Don't get me wrong, it's good to have certain qualities to hope for in your future partner but try to be realistic with some of them and agree that your happiness is what matters more not just the looks.
And if you are in each other's friend zone, maybe you should just ask her out already. It's that simple!!! If she says No, so what?? At least you won't carry the burden of not knowing in your heart!!! And ladies, if you like him, maybe you should tell him. Trust me. No matter how nice you are, he might not know you are doing it because you feel something more. Say it!!!
Finally, if you are still hurting over that heartbreak, please let it go away with 2015. Do not carry it into 2016. Don't ruin your future by holding on to the past. Stop giving yourself excuse to hurt. LET IT FRIGGING GO!!! Ask the Holy Spirit to help you.
And If you don't fall into any of this category, your time is coming too. Don't even stress out over it, my dear, the best is coming. Don't snatch someone else's man or girl. And the honest truth is of they were meant for you, they can't and won't be taken anyway *shrug*. If your man or girl left you, she wasn't it!! She wasn't the right one so be glad that they left. Good riddance!!! Remember God's timing is indeed the best, it is not of whom that runneth, but of God that shows the mercy. 2016 is your year baby!!!

Lionel Messi won the Best Player of the Year award at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai last night and he's the overwhelming favorite to scoop the Ballon d'or 2015 best player of the year award in January.

The Argentina and Barcelona forward, scored 58 goals as Barcelona enjoyed a memorable treble-winning campaign last season winning the Copa del rey, Champions league and La liga title.

'It's very nice to receive these awards, but I always say that the team makes it possible,' said Messi. 'It's been an extraordinary year.'

President Buhari says those who are found guilty in the $2.1 billion arms deal fraud will be sent to jail. He said this in a recent interview with BBC Hausa

“Remember during the campaigns, we said Nigeria is facing three things and nobody disputed that assertion. Firstly, there was widespread insecurity, a war in the north-east, while the country’s oil was being stolen at random in the south; secondly, there is massive unemployment.
Thirdly, bribery and corruption was basically suffocating the country. If we don’t kill these monsters, this country would go down. That is why those who stole monies meant for arms procurement and shared it among themselves are being arrested and are being shown documents so that they would be asked to refund the money or face prosecution. We would use those documents to prove what they stole, collect all the assets acquired from the proceeds and then jail them”he said

Buhari also spoke on the mutiny of soldiers during the last administration

“I want people to understand that after I settled down and got a good grasp of what the country was going through, we removed all the service chiefs and appointed new ones. We also undertook an investigation and found out how the monies meant for arms procurement were diverted and shared by officials in the last administration. They sent the boys to the warfront without arms and ammunition, leading some of them to mutiny after which they were arrested and detained. We have been able to raise money and fund the war. Go and ask the people of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, how many of their local governments were under the control of insurgents? And how many are currently still under the insurgents. Maybe we would not win the war completely by the end of the month, but the insurgents have now resorted to putting on explosive vests on young children, mostly girls aged 15 and below and then sending them to markets, mosques and churches to detonate. Boko Haram itself knows that the era of them taking over communities and local governments is over. If people would be fair to us, they would know that the Nigerian Army has basically met the deadline and are winning the war. You cannot find any significant number of Boko Haram members in Adamawa and Yobe,only maybe in about three local governments of Borno, in the area around our borders with Chad Republic. They are not in a position to threaten Nigeria now, so we have won”he said

Jesus Christ is the door to finding everlasting peace. Peace is so vital to human existence that people search for it in many ways. Some people even do all sorts of abominable things to get peace, but the more effort they put in, the more they realize that they are far from having the peace of God. Jesus is the only door through which true peace is guaranteed. Because Jesus is the door, whatever you need to access in life can only be done effortlessly through Him. As the door, He does not need a door to come in, nor does He need a door to go out. For everything you desire in life, there are doors for accessing them. There are doors of financial breakthrough, academic excellence, marital bliss, spiritual endowment and health. All these doors are enclosed in the original Door – Jesus. There is none of these doors that Jesus Christ cannot open. Nothing can deny any child of God access to these doors as long as they are in Christ.

Are you in search of promotion, fruitfulness and breakthrough? Then come to Jesus. He will give you access to all the closed doors in your life. There is no need for worries or panic, because Jesus will give you permanent victory over the challenges confronting you.  If you want Jesus to be your access through the journey of life, you must give Him full access into your life. You must always allow the Lord to be before you. Psalm 16:8 says:

“I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”

If you want to have Jesus as your exclusive way, you must allow Him take the lead while you follow. You need to always look up to Him and let Him be your focus. If you can do this, you will realize that those things you have been running after for many years will begin to come to you. As long as you have Jesus, you cannot be limited. All you need to do is open your heart to Him. What are those things you worry yourself about? Trust in the exclusive door. He will lead and guide you. The moment Jesus becomes your door; everything will begin to respond to you. There are many people who are not yet blessed because they have shut the door to their heart to the Lord. The moment the door is opened for Him to come in, the lines will begin to fall in pleasant places for you. Jesus is the only true door. Other doors will fail, but Jesus can never fail.

Father, as I open up the door of my heart to Jesus, help me to always hear Your voice.
